My hair is thin, how to make it thicker?

There are a range of variables that make thin hair, it could be a genetic disposition and you have had thin hair since birth, or it could be that you used to have thick hair and now it’s thin; the latter is probably worse. The reason for why the latter is worse is because firstly, you experienced amazingly thick hair and now have to deal with thinning hair and ultimately, that usually leads to balding or at least continued thinning. So you should figure out whether you’ve always had thin hair and it is a part of your genetic makeup, or whether or not it has been thinning more recently in which case you should do something about it asap.

 

Thankfully, there are a variety of different things that you could do to make your hair thicker. Firstly, there are a lot of lifestyle choices that cause the thinning of hair. This could be dietary choices, substance abuse, a lack of hair care, high stress levels; health issues as well. See, we all know if you don’t look after a car, after time something goes wrong. If you look after it carefully and properly, do all the right things then you have a high chance, that the car will run smoothly for a very long time. The same applies to ourselves.

 

We are a highly complicated and wonderful piece of sentient machinery, and if we don’t look after ourselves…it will show in our physical states. If you don’t get enough sleep for one night, every one at work the next day will constantly tell you of how tired you look. So with that said, look at those lifestyle areas and try to make a change to those first before you go out and spend 100’s of dollars or whatever your currency is on hair care products. But it’s a losing battle if you don’t try to make better lifestyle decisions for yourself.

 

The worst one of those lifestyle choices, well I wouldn’t call it a choice is high stress levels. Stress is the worst thing for our body, skin, hair and mind. Stress causes all sorts of inflammation which is terrible for your body, and some types of inflammation cause hair loss; it will also cause premature ageing in every single way. So please, go for a walk, tune out for 20 minutes a day, do some yoga if you can, go to the gym, find a nice hobby; anything to take that stress away - not only will your hair be healthier but so will you. 

 

Let’s for a moment talk about hair care and hair care routines. Traditional hair care products, well a lot of them are extremely damaging to your hair. They contain extremely harsh chemicals that will do more damage than good to your hair. And this is extremely prominent in liquid shampoos.
